This change will officially take effect on January 1, 2026, aiming to enhance corporate flexibility by optimizing business layout and accelerate the strategic transformation into a \"smokeless company\".<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\">Architecture Upgrade: Two Major Business Units + Three Major Segments Implemented<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">The core of this organizational restructuring is the establishment of two core business units, reporting directly to Group CEO Jacek Olczak:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-paddingleft-1\">\n<li><strong><span dir=\"auto\">PMI International Business<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<section><span dir=\"auto\">Frederic de Wilde, the current president of the South Asia, Southeast Asia, CIS, Middle East and Africa region, will serve as CEO, responsible for advancing the multi-category strategy, tobacco harm reduction efforts and the expansion of smoke-free products in all markets outside the United States, while continuing to explore the value of the traditional tobacco business to support the development of the smoke-free business.<\/span><\/section>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span dir=\"auto\">PMI US Business<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<section><span dir=\"auto\">Stacey Kennedy will continue as CEO, focusing on the two core objectives in the U.S. market: driving the continued growth of the ZYN nicotine bag product and expanding the scale of the heated tobacco business, making it a key engine for the group's long-term growth.<\/span><\/section>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">In addition,\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"><span data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">Aspeya, PMI's health and wellness division, will continue to report to Olczak<\/span>\u00a0.\u00a0At the financial reporting level, the original four geographic regions will be consolidated into three main sections:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-paddingleft-1\">\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">International smoke-free business<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\"><span dir=\"auto\">International combustion business<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"auto\">US business<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">Starting from the first quarter of 2026, financial data will be disclosed under a new segment, and historical financial adjustment information for 2023-2025 will be released subsequently.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\">The Path to a Smoke-Free Environment: Strategies and Achievements for Continued Leadership<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">As a global leader in the smoke-free sector, PMI's transformation strategy has already yielded significant results:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-paddingleft-1\">\n<li>\n<section><span dir=\"auto\">Smoke-free products are sold in 100 markets worldwide, and as of June 30, 2025, more than 41 million consumers of legal smoking age worldwide use their smoke-free products, many of whom have quit smoking altogether or significantly reduced their cigarette consumption.<\/span><\/section>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<section><span dir=\"auto\">In the first three quarters of 2025, the smokeless business contributed 41% of the Group's total net revenue, becoming the core growth driver.<\/span><\/section>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<section><span dir=\"auto\">Since 2008, PMI has invested over $14 billion in the research, development, scientific validation, and commercialization of smoke-free innovative products, building a world-class scientific evaluation system that covers preclinical systems toxicology, clinical behavioral studies, and post-market surveillance.<\/span><\/section>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\">\"\u00a0<i data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">The new organizational structure better reflects our current business model and will give us the flexibility and governance we need for long-term growth,\"<\/i>\u00a0said\u00a0Group CEO\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\"><span dir=\"auto\">Jacek Olczak\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span dir=\"auto\">.\u00a0<i>\"I am incredibly proud of our 83,000 employees, whose hard work and dedication make us a global leader in smoke-free environments.
