Since Bang Kyung-man took office as the president of KT&G<\/b> in March last year, the company has been committed to strengthening its core competitiveness, optimizing its financial structure, and achieving balanced development. The company's tobacco business performed particularly prominently last year. In the fourth quarter of last year, the company's tobacco business revenue was 786 billion won, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%. Last year, the company's tobacco business revenue reached 3.9063 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; its operating profit was 1.0815 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%. The good performance benefited from its effective pricing strategy and the growth of global sales. It is worth noting that the global sales volume of the company's cigarette products increased by 10.3% year-on-year last year, reaching a new high; the global cigarette sales revenue increased by 28% year-on-year, reaching 1.4501 trillion won, breaking the historical record; and its profitability significantly improved, with a year-on-year profit increase of 84.2%.<\/div>\n

In terms of next-generation tobacco products, the company's e-cigarettes maintained a growth trend in both domestic and overseas markets. Last year, the domestic sales volume of the company's e-cigarettes reached 6.15 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%; the overseas sales volume reached 8.34 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%.<\/div>\n

This year, KT&G<\/b> plans to build a more cost-effective production system and a profit-oriented financial strategy to enhance the competitive advantage of its core tobacco business. The company's goal this year is to achieve a 5% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 6% year-on-year increase in profit.<\/div>\n

The company's board of directors announced that the total dividend per share of the company's stock in 2024 was 5,400 won. Their goal is to maintain the upward trend of dividends and they promised to achieve a cash return of approximately 3.7 trillion won from 2024 to 2027.<\/div>\n
